Physicians Noninvasive Facial Aesthetics May 16-18, 2008 Medical Aesthetics Skin Care Practice Clinical Skin Care Health Centers™
Within the concepts/paradigms for the safe practices of medical aesthetics which perform non-invasive clinical skin care management in skin health centers , it is wise for the aesthetician and/ or nurse to have secured a working interrelationship with a physician. This physician works with the nurse-aesthetician to insure safety of procedural techniques employed. This combination of physician-nurse-aesthetician working relationship would be also offering a medical specialist that can recommend a medication as needed. The physician does not act as the overseer of the nurse-aesthetician as a role in mainstream medicine but rather as a collaborator in delivering comprehensive skin care management. In certain situations, it is also wise for the physician to have " Standing Orders" that could be implemented should the physician at anytime may not be in the complex while the nurse-aesthetician is performing aesthetic procedures that may require a medical prescription. The physicians orders in these cases do not have the same medical significance as in a hospital or medical clinic. For instance, a physicians order for a clinical skin care health center would be, in most cases , only providing "antibiotics" as a prescription because the nurse-aesthetician generally performs procedures that do not require a physician on site or a prescription. Physicians orders would insure quality skin care health for the patient seen within these centers without fear of backlash from any state or medical regulations. Doctors seeking a more broad practice of medicine with an aesthetic medicine practice will be the more likely candidates seeking an entrepreneurial nurse-aesthetician. Entrepreneur Nurse-Aesthetician Cosmetic Facial Aesthetic Instructor
Physicians have generally dominated the health care system with the "medical model". On the other hand, the nurse as always been recognized as a valuable team player but generally never been provided a tremendous autonomous relationship within in a mainstream medical environment. An entrepreneurial nurse-aesthetician and facial aesthetic instructor provides the physician an amazing backup support as well as a skin care specialist with a plethora of clinical and aesthetic knowledge. Physicians need to rethink how nurse-aesthetician aesthetic instructor could benefit their practice in a greater role than designated as an LPN, RN, NP.
